My name is Olivia Kent. I was born and raised in Montgomery Alabama where I lived in the same house, went to the same school, and knew the same people practically my whole life. I decided to spread my wings and move to South Carolina for a change of scenery while I get a college education. I am currently a sophomore at Furman University and I am (for now) double majoring in Art and Communications. I created this blog for a communications course, but it is also something I am genuinely passionate about. I love writing, photography and graphic design, so blogging is a natural extension of my work.
About the Blog:
America is a superpower, and no that does not mean our citizens can fly or shoot lasers from their eyes. According to Time a superpower is a country that wields enough military, political and economic might to convince nations in all parts of the world to do things they otherwise wouldn’t- yep sounds like us.
Right now though there is plenty of buzz that America is actually a declining superpower, but what exactly does that mean? This blog will lay out some of major points of controversy regarding the debate. Hopefully readers can gain a sense of the issue and decide for themselves: Is America a Declining Superpower?
